Arizona Western College will host a public event on March 3 to mark ten years of changes at the institution. The gathering, called “Decade of Transformation,” aims to highlight the college’s growth in enrollment, new programs, and student accomplishments throughout Yuma and La Paz Counties.
The event will include multimedia presentations and a discussion with Dr. Daniel Corr, President of Arizona Western College. Dr. Kristina Diaz, President of Onvida Health Medical Group, will facilitate the conversation.
Lorraine Stofft, Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of the AWC Foundation, said: “This event is a chance to hear how the college has been transformed, through the efforts of our faculty and staff, to be more responsive to community needs. Dr. Corr’s vision has touched every corner of the college district, and our students benefit.”
Stofft also stated: “We’ll also take a peek at what’s on the horizon for Arizona Western as Dr. Corr nears retirement and Dr. Reetika Dhawan prepares to step into that leadership role.”
The event is scheduled from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the Schoening Conference Center. Attendance is free but limited; those interested are encouraged to reserve seats online. Light refreshments will be available.
