City of San Luis announces office closures and service changes for Labor Day

The City of San Luis announced on Aug. 18 that its offices will be closed on September 1 in observance of Labor Day, with regular business hours resuming on Tuesday, September 2. Emergency services will remain available during the holiday.

The closure affects several city services, including trash collection schedules. Residents whose trash is normally collected on Monday and Thursday will have their waste picked up only on Tuesday and Thursday during the holiday week. Those with Tuesday and Friday routes will see collection moved to Wednesday and Friday.

Utility payments can still be made through various methods while offices are closed. Options include online payment at www.xpressbillpay.com, by phone at 855-314-2095, with a live operator at 800-720-6847, using the self-service kiosk outside City Hall, or by placing checks or money orders in the drop box outside City Hall. All payments received during this period will be posted the following business day. For water or sewer emergencies, residents are advised to contact the Police Department Communications Division at (928) 341-2420.
