The City of San Luis announced on Sept. 2 a new marketing campaign called “928 Day,” which will run throughout September and feature special promotions from local businesses. The campaign is designed to encourage residents and visitors to explore local products and services, culminating in a citywide celebration on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
The initiative aims to highlight the city’s small businesses and foster community pride by tying the event to the area’s iconic 928 area code. Local restaurants, shops, and service providers are offering exclusive deals such as $9.28 menu items, discounts of 9.28 percent, and special combo offers during the month-long celebration.
“928 Day is a celebration of our local businesses, our residents, and the creative spirit that makes the City of San Luis shine,” said Armando Esparza, Director of Economic Development and Government and Foreign Affairs. “It’s an opportunity for residents to show their hometown pride, discover new local experiences, and discover their next local favorite,” he said.
To help participants find deals easily, an interactive listing of all participating businesses is available at Sanluisaz.gov/928. The website provides details about each business’s offerings and indicates when they are celebrating during September.
