The City of San Luis announced on Feb. 19 that it is seeking applicants to serve on three key boards and commissions: the San Luis Employee Benefit Trust Board, the San Luis Facility Development Corporation, and the San Luis Industrial Development Authority.
These volunteer positions are important for shaping city programs, projects, and economic growth. The city promotes community engagement through open council meetings and public events, according to the official website.
Applications for these roles will be accepted from Tuesday, February 17 until Monday, May 18. Each board consists of five to six members who meet at City Hall as needed. The Employee Benefit Trust Board oversees health benefits for eligible city employees, elected officials, and their dependents. Three seats are open on this board. The Facility Development Corporation has four openings; its directors help oversee financing and operation of public projects that support economic development in San Luis and Yuma County. The Industrial Development Authority has three available seats; its directors work to attract manufacturing, industrial, and commercial enterprises to stimulate business growth in the city.
