Family & kids events this week in Southwest Arizona: Sept. 7-13

Arizona Western College has opened registration for its summer basketball camp taking place June 1-4. The event welcomes K-12 students and offers instruction from college coaches.

Arizona Western College President Dr. Daniel Corr received the National Pacesetter Award from NCMPR for his decade-long leadership expanding student access at AWC. The honor was presented during an annual conference in Washington D.C., recognizing his contributions including rebranding initiatives and increased enrollment.

Arizona Western College recently hosted over 70 fifth graders from James B. Rolle Elementary School for its semi-annual I’m Going to College event. Students experienced mock orientation sessions and mini classes designed to introduce them early on to higher education opportunities.
