Rep. John Gillette, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 representing District 30, has recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues ranging from gun laws in Minnesota to mental health and local government spending.

On August 27, 2025, Gillette commented on recent violence in Minneapolis, writing: “We can add the Minneapolis killer to the Transhooter list. Remember that MN. under Tampon Tim has all the leftist ‘Common Sence’ gun laws in place.”

Later that day, he addressed mental health and political responsibility, stating: “It’s mental illness and the leftists’ failures to treat it… you affirm it, leading to this.”

On August 28, Gillette shifted focus to municipal waste management policies with another post: “Ad states’ These bags are not recyclable.’ Case solved… can we do crime now.. the ambulance got away.. nobody slipped and fell. Enough wasted taxpayer money on this garbage…. bags.”

Gillette succeeded Christian Solorio as representative for Arizona’s 30th House District following his election in 2023.
