Rep. John Gillette, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Arizona’s 30th House District, has used his social media platform to criticize public schools and discuss housing trends in Phoenix.
On January 31, 2026, Gillette posted: “This is a great advertisement for school choice. Failed public schools, bloated budgets, superintendents making 250k a year… while kids encouraged by staff to impede law enforcement.”
The following day, February 1, he continued the theme with another post: “Another school choice advertisement. These 1st and 2nd graders are being indoctrinated against law enforcement.”
On February 3, Gillette shifted focus to housing issues in Phoenix: “Supply and demand… illegals out supply is opened up to citizens. Rents down 6% in PHX. Dem talk 4 years about affordable housing , did nothing. Trump did it in 1 year.”
Gillette assumed office after winning election in Arizona’s LD30 district during the 2023 cycle, succeeding Christian Solorio. His recent posts reflect ongoing debates over education policy and immigration’s impact on local economies.
