State Representative John Gillette has expressed his appreciation for Mohave County Recorder Lydia Henry’s efforts in maintaining voter roll integrity. As the Chairman of the House Committee on Federalism, Elections & Military Affairs, Gillette praised Henry and her team for their “professionalism, diligence, and commitment to election integrity through proactive voter roll maintenance.”
Henry’s office recently reached out to 3,998 voters with out-of-state mailing addresses to confirm or update their registration details. Gillette emphasized that this process is crucial for ensuring only qualified electors participate in Arizona elections and for improving election efficiency.
“Maintaining accurate voter rolls is not partisan; it is foundational,” said Gillette. He noted that such actions help reduce administrative waste and protect lawful voters’ rights by maintaining process integrity.
Gillette commended Henry’s leadership and adherence to Arizona law, highlighting her role as an example for other county recorders. He stressed that election integrity begins well before Election Day with disciplined administration and statutory compliance.
Gillette, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Arizona’s 30th House District, encouraged voters to keep their registration information current. He said, “Clean rolls. Qualified voters. Trustworthy elections.”
