Rep. John Gillette, a Republican member of the Arizona State House representing District 30 since 2023, has made several statements on social media addressing topics including Islamophobia, high-profile criminal cases, and socioeconomic policies.

On September 2, 2025, Gillette wrote: “Islamophobia is a construct of the Marxist left I reject. I hear them state that they stand with Hamas and Iran, they want to bring Sharia Law to the US. They chant death to US. I have years of direct experience with these savages. Thier own religion preached convert or die.”

Later that day, he commented on two controversial figures in American discourse: “Floyd, a convicted felon, died of Fentanyl overdose while resisting arrest. The left built shrines. Abrego, human trafficking, drugs, and illegally in this country, you fight to save him… this is who you’re and the idiot left support. If they are killed protesting what they”

In another post from September 2nd, Gillette addressed socioeconomic policies and their impact on certain communities: “This would happen with any demographic of people.
