Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, commented on recent military events and their implications in a series of tweets posted on April 5 and April 6, 2026.
On April 5, Gillette praised the safety of a pilot involved in an incident and expressed confidence in U.S. military capabilities compared to those of Russia and China. He wrote, “Great to hear the pilot is safe. Again SF and our military prove that the Russian and Chinese tech is inferior. A behind the lines rescue, showing we dominate the battlefield. Well done!!!”
Later that day, he further emphasized U.S. battlefield tactics by stating, “Complete dominance of the battlefield. Shoot, move , communicate, then close distance and destroy with speed shock and violenceof action. This is the way men…God Speed.”
On April 6, Gillette criticized an unnamed individual’s understanding of a reported incident involving a pilot shot down in Iran. He posted, “Wow… she is dumb. So I guess based on her lack of understanding the pilot shot down in IRAN is now a Iranian citizen and SF Kidnapped him.. DEI Woke BS got us here.”
Gillette was elected to represent Arizona’s 30th House District in 2023 after succeeding Christian Solorio.
