Rep. John Gillette, a Republican member of the Arizona House representing District 30 since 2023, recently posted several comments on his social media account addressing clean electricity standards and public safety leadership.

On December 18, 2025, Gillette criticized renewable energy policies in a post stating, (RPS) or Clean Electricity Standards forced by you and the communist democrats is the real answer. Requires utilities to buy a electricity from renewables (e.g., wind, solar). Raise retail prices by forcing purchases of higher-cost FAILED renewables, while killing cheaper fossil https://t.co/zqrNOzH3lE. The same day, he shared another post containing only links: https://t.co/URibQPOyLG https://t.co/PuiJV8QOaZ.

On December 20, 2025, Gillette commented on a public safety official’s departure with the statement: Nut job… changed UCR codes to hide her DEI incompetence. Remember when the media question on chain of command? Her reply “what does that mean”. DC Police and citizens will be safer now she is gone. https://t.co/ddxsOvGeMe.

Gillette began serving in the Arizona State House after being elected in 2023 to represent District 30, succeeding Christian Solorio. He has been an outspoken critic of clean energy mandates and diversity initiatives in law enforcement leadership.
