Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, posted several statements on social media on September 23, 2025, addressing immigration policy and state legal matters.

In his first post of the day, Gillette criticized Democratic policies on border security and immigration. He wrote: “Democrats opened the borders and imported this. Democrats want 500k more… vote Democrat and this is your city next.” (September 23, 2025).

Shortly after, he followed up with another message referencing past events or issues without further elaboration: “In case you have forgotten.” (September 23, 2025).

Later that day, Gillette turned his attention to Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. He alleged misuse of public funds for political purposes in ongoing legal cases: “Mayes is pissing away millions of taxpayer dollars on political vendetta cases she knows she will lose or be overturned. She won’t even look at the criminal cases.” (September 23, 2025).

Gillette was elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 to represent District 30 after succeeding Christian Solorio.
