Rep. John Gillette, a Republican elected in 2023 to represent Arizona’s 30th House District, posted several statements on social media addressing issues related to child welfare, judicial immunity, and partisan disagreements.

On March 31, 2026, Gillette stated: “An average of 20 children will die per year in AZ DCS group home and foster care placements. Not a word from the dems.”

Two days later, on April 1, 2026, he commented on judicial immunity: “Judicial qualified immunity needs to be abolished. They want to take immunity from police who at times make split second decision….. this Judge had weeks to decide, and wrongly causing harm to another. Arrest her ass!”

On April 3, 2026, Gillette referenced previous discussions with Democratic colleagues: “We were just talking about this yesterday…. the Dems said we were lying.”

Gillette succeeded Christian Solorio as the representative for Arizona’s 30th House District following his election in 2023.
