Rep. John Gillette, a Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives for District 30 since 2023, published several statements on his X (formerly Twitter) account on September 21, 2025, criticizing Democrats and commenting on issues related to political violence, social media moderation, and gun rights.

In a post from the early morning hours of September 21, Gillette wrote: “The democrats continue to show who they are, liars , communists, and supporters of Islamic jihad. We asked for the simple act of condemning political violence, they blamed conservatives. Simple conclusion. They hate America.”

Later that day, he expressed frustration with the platform’s moderation practices in another message: “This post throttled by X. WTF. Elon.” The statement appears to address perceived suppression or reduced visibility of his earlier content.

By the evening of September 21, Gillette commented on gun control policies in the United Kingdom and their relation to criticism of Islam: “Like I said ! Send them all back! The UK. Gave up their guns in the late 90s now are being arrested for criticizing Islam.”

Gillette was elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 to represent District 30, succeeding Christian Solorio. As a state representative, he has been known for making outspoken statements regarding political opposition and national policy debates.
