Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, posted a series of tweets on September 10, 2025, criticizing Democratic lawmakers for their actions and positions related to religion and foreign policy.
In his first post at 15:23 UTC, Gillette shared three images with the caption: “https://t.co/fWbGFseSn4 https://t.co/8jpgIAYLYO https://t.co/2r525Y4h96”.
Later that day at 16:45 UTC, he wrote: “Same Dems that removed and hid Bibles from members in the House chambers. The same dems that chant free Palestine and support Hamas. The same dems that defend Islamic advisory boards to our law enforcement. On the anniversary of 9-11. They tell us who they are, and people https://t.co/DRsrIufsLr”.
At 17:35 UTC, Gillette continued his criticism by stating: “Can’t script this any better. Democrats support Islam and condemn my ‘Vile’ comments and 1st Amendment Rights on the eve of 9-11. https://t.co/dOh3JmGxU4 https://t.co/wP1YQym7Jh”.
Gillette has served in the Arizona State House since being elected in 2023, succeeding Christian Solorio as representative for District 30.
