Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, posted a series of statements on his social media accounts criticizing recent election security measures and meetings involving state officials.

On August 22, 2025, Gillette expressed frustration over past warnings about political developments, writing, “I get tired of saying ‘ I told you so’. The Biloxi meeting and the unofficial meeting held a couple weeks ago… could be called the ‘Final Coup'”.

Later that day, he questioned the effectiveness of ERIC—a multi-state program aimed at maintaining accurate voter rolls—stating in a post dated August 22: “Remember when they told us ERIC was the fix.. for clean rolls. We have a national database of citizenship, residency, the SAVE act allows for connection by states to Medicaid-Medicare, SS.. that are being purged of illegals. The dems know if illegals can’t vote- their done!”

The following day, on August 23, Gillette addressed what he described as failures in election security enforcement. He wrote: “Election Security Failure – Fontes & China Kelly and Lil Ruben Must Be Held Accountable

I filed the CISA complaint. I filed the DHS/DOJ referral weeks ago. Calls documented. Not one so-called “Senator” even answered the phone. Meanwhile, Arizona’s Secretary of State failed to”

Gillette has been an active member of Arizona’s legislature since replacing Christian Solorio in 2023.
