Rep. John Gillette, a Republican elected to the Arizona State House in 2023 to represent District 30, posted a series of messages on his social media account addressing issues ranging from social media visibility to criticisms of the Hobbs administration.

On December 20, 2025, Gillette questioned whether his posts were being limited on the platform X and included an image: “Hey Elon , account still throttled! Can anyone see this dog? https://t.co/OTFUnDUwtG”.

Later that day, he expressed gratitude to his followers with a brief message: “Thank you all!” (December 20, 2025).

On December 21, 2025, Gillette criticized statements made by the Hobbs administration regarding benefits and voter registration for certain groups. He wrote: “Remember when the Hobbs administration told us this was a lie. Remember when they told us none of these people get benifits or registered to vote… all lies from the Hobbs administration. The best of the worst… yet to come. https://t.co/mRIbB0dNQf”.

Gillette has served as District 30’s representative since succeeding Christian Solorio in 2023.
