Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, used his social media account on September 3, 2025, to criticize Democratic policies and announce the launch of an initiative he calls “Project Sentinel.”

In a post made at 00:51 UTC, Gillette stated, “This post demonstrates the failure of democrat policies. If your state economy only survives at the labor of illegals, rather than that of American citizens… you have failed. They tell you to your face, yet you do not believe Republicans that have been saying this for years.”

Later in the day, at 16:30 UTC, he announced the beginning of Project Sentinel with a focus on alleged corruption and failures within Arizona’s government. He wrote, ” Launching Project Sentinel TODAY ! Arizona has been run like a cartel corruption buried under Hobbs, Fontes and Mayes media silence, and political doublespeak. That ends now. The Inside intel. Election system failures Welfare & Medicaid fraud backroom politics the media”.

Shortly after that post, at 16:38 UTC, Gillette reiterated his message about Project Sentinel’s objectives by stating: ” Launching Project Sentinel TODAY Arizona has been run like a cartel! Corruption buried under bureaucracy, media silence, and political doublespeak. That ends now. The intel will expose: Election system failures Welfare & Medicaid fraud Shady deals , influence, fraud,”

John Gillette was elected to represent Arizona’s 30th House District in 2023 after succeeding Christian Solorio. As a member of the state legislature since then, he has focused his public communications on issues related to election integrity and government accountability.
