Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, posted a series of tweets on September 10, 2025, regarding an incident involving Charlie Kirk.
At 19:25 UTC, Gillette wrote, “Prayer for Charlie.”
Shortly after, at 19:27 UTC, he questioned security measures and commented on the nature of the attack: “Where was security? The video shows an angle of attack and shock wave. Obvious rifle from elevated position.”
By 19:34 UTC, Gillette described the event as an assassination attempt: “Attempted assignation of Charlie Kirk.”
Gillette has served in the Arizona State House since his election in 2023, succeeding Christian Solorio as representative for District 30.
