Rep. John Gillette, a Republican representing Arizona’s 30th House District since 2023, posted a series of tweets on February 7 and 8, 2026, raising concerns about state operations and voter registration processes.

On February 7, Gillette questioned the timing of scheduled updates by the Secretary of State’s office during a major sporting weekend. He wrote, “How convenient to do scheduled updates on a Saturday and be notified at noon on a Saturday of a superbowl weekend. SOS lack of planning… or was it? This should have been done between 2300 Friday and 0400 Sat.”

The following day, Gillette addressed issues related to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD), and voter roll vetting. In his tweet from February 8, he stated, “As I have proven, NGOs, MVD and lack of vetting. There are illegas, and 1000s of unqualified registrants on the rolls. I will be releasing everything publicly, we have filed criminal referrals and now its time to expose for maximum pressure.”

Later that same day, Gillette commented on claims regarding married women changing their names and accessing government services. He tweeted: “So if this is true, how do all the millions of married women that took their husbands name receive their social security checks and get real IDs? More leftist fearmongering. Its 80/20 issue, the people want this.”

Gillette has served in the Arizona State House since his election in 2023 after replacing Christian Solorio as representative for District 30.
