San Luis announces annual Christmas tree drop-off program for residents

The City of San Luis Public Works Department announced on Dec. 30 that it will hold its Annual Christmas Tree Drop-Off Program from January 2 through February 13, 2026. The program allows residents to safely and responsibly dispose of natural Christmas trees at the Public Works Yard, located at 1311 N. 4th Avenue, Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

This initiative provides an environmentally friendly option for tree disposal after the holiday season and encourages community participation in sustainable practices. Residents are reminded to remove all decorations, tinsel, wires, hooks, and bags before dropping off their trees. Only natural trees will be accepted; artificial trees are not permitted.
