To qualify as a candidate, individuals must be United States citizens, at least eighteen years old, qualified electors of San Luis, residents of the city or annexed areas for at least one year prior to the election, able to speak, write, and read English as required by Arizona law (A.R.S. §38-201), and have no felony convictions unless civil rights have been restored.
