The City of San Luis Economic Development Department will hold its second Small Business Resource Fair on May 29 at the Cesar Chavez Cultural Center in San Luis, Arizona. The event is scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and aims to support local entrepreneurs, small business owners, and those interested in starting a business.

The fair provides an opportunity for community members to access resources such as business counseling, mentoring, marketing strategies, workforce development, and financial analysis. Attendees can also register their businesses with the City of San Luis during the event.

A key feature this year is the recognition of the first graduating class from the Fuerza Local San Luis Business Accelerator Program. This program was designed to help new entrepreneurs develop their skills and grow their businesses locally. Armando Esparza, Director of Economic Development and Government and Foreign Affairs, said, “The Small Business Resource Fair is a cornerstone initiative to strengthen our local economy by empowering business leaders with the tools and support they need to thrive.” He continued, “This year’s event is even more special as we celebrate the success of our Fuerza Local graduates a true example of our community’s entrepreneurial spirit in action.”

Admission to the fair is free and open to all members of the public. More information can be obtained by contacting the City of San Luis Economic Development Department or Rogelio Martinez.

City officials promote community engagement through open council meetings and public events, according to the official website. The city offers essential services including public safety through police and fire departments, parks and recreation programs, economic development initiatives, and public works projects according to its official website. Nieves Riedel has served as mayor according to city records, while San Luis operates under a council-manager form of government as reported by its official site. The city has grown from a small town into a thriving community in Arizona according to its official website.

Looking ahead, city leaders continue efforts to foster economic growth through events like this resource fair that connect residents with valuable tools for business success.
