Candy manufacturer, Ferrero USA Inc., which distributes candy bars like Butterfinger and Baby Ruth, plans to open a Goodyear distribution center by mid-March.
"Ferrero's new location in our city helps to build a stronger community and provides job opportunities for our residents and the West Valley," Georgia Lord, Goodyear mayor, said according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
The manufacturing company plans on hiring 50 people in its new location by the end of its first year.
Over time, the new distribution center will distribute not only its candy bars but also Ferrero Rocher and Nutella.
"Ferrero is investing in our presence and business in the U.S.," Paul Chibe, president and CEO of Ferrero North America, said according to the Journal. "We're introducing new brands and innovations, hiring top talent, and opening state-of-the-art facilities like this new Goodyear distribution center, all of which will help us continue to fuel the confectionery category."
The new facility is over 600,000 square feet and will be located at 3600 N. Cotton Lane.
