The BlueWater Resort and Casino as well as Cinemas in Parker have been shut down to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

According to Parker Pioneer, the BlueWater entities were shut down on March 20 and the tentative date of April 3 has been provided by the administration as a reopening date.

BlueWater bars and restaurants will also suspend their services until April 3. The restaurants and bars also include the marina shop, the beach and gift shop, Wakeboard Island and River’s Edge Cantina. All events and concerts scheduled till April 30 will also be suspended and tickets will be refunded to the public.

BlueWater will compensate all of its employees during the lockdown. In a statement, the BlueWater administrative authority proclaimed that their employees will be compensated even when the business is shutdown. All bars and restaurants at the BlueWater, including the River’s Edge Cantina, are also closed.

The BlueWater’s statement stated their employees will be “fully compensated” during the closure. They said the reason they had stayed open this long was they did not want to cause financial hardship for their employees.
