SAN LUIS: City of San Luis to Celebrate 2020 Graduates

San Luis issued the following announcement on May 13

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it has had on the graduating class of 2020 and the community as a whole, the City of San Luis is looking to highlight those graduating.

Starting this weekend from Friday, May 15, 2020, to May 28, 2020, the City of San Luis will be publicizing the 2020 graduates that reside in the City of San Luis, Arizona. These graduates will be highlighted on the City of San Luis official social media pages (@SanLuisAZGov)  and will have their names displayed on the LED sign located at the corner of Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Main Street.

To participate we ask for High School, College, and University graduates that reside in San Luis, Arizona to email publicrelations@sanluisaz.gov or direct message the official City of San Luis Facebook page (@SanLuisAZGov) with the following:

  • A photo of the graduate
  • The name of the graduate alongside the school they graduated from
  • If they graduated from college or university please include their major
  • In addition, a brief message for or from the graduate, after all, we are celebrating!
Submissions can start being email starting today, May 13, 2020, until May 27, 2020, no later than 5:00 p.m.

“While the pandemic may have changed the way we celebrate all graduates, the City of San Luis remains committed to celebrating the accomplishments of our residents”, stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “Education is a key component for a prosperous society, we could not be more proud of all your accomplishments. On behalf of the City of San Luis, congratulations Class of 2020,” he added.
