Arizona Western College will not face any property tax increases for the 2020-2021 fiscal year.

The Yuma/La Paz Counties Community College District (Arizona Western College) released their Truth in Taxation information for the fiscal year and it had mention of the property taxes and how there will be no increase.

The Arizona Western College holds second for the highest property taxes in the state for a community college. The current tax rate for the college's district will offer an additional $533,814 in revenue. For a home worth $100,000 the total taxes owed would be $219.49, without an increase.

While the college continues to have debt, the secondary tax rate is proposed to be at .3626 of $100 on net assessed values. The Yuma Sun and the Parker Pioneer listed the details concerning the impact of this proposal and what will happen to maintain the current tax rate.

Arizona Central College and Arizona Western College are tied at being the third lowest tuition rate in the state. With that said, each credit hour costs around $86. The most expensive community college charges $111 per credit hour at Mohave Community College and the most affordable college runs $77 per credit hour, which is Coconino.
