The City of Yuma has joined other Yuma County communities to launch a new online survey to seek input from residents regarding experiences with housing, jobs, transportation and community needs, according to a news release from the city.
Information gathered from this survey will be used to inform how local agencies will distribute federal Community Development Block Grant and HOME funds to best meet the needs of the community.
“This survey is a major component of a broader undertaking to thoroughly assess our housing and community development needs,” said Assistant Director of Community Development Rhonda Lee-James. “The study team will analyze data from a variety of sources, but we believe our residents have a story to tell. We want to hear your housing story.”
The city invites residents to participate in the study by clicking here. Visitors can also choose to take the survey in Spanish if they need to by clicking here.
The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete and will include questions regarding housing, schools, access to economic opportunity, community challenges and the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
One randomly chosen participant will be selected to win $100 in the form of a prepaid credit card.
Visitors that need assistance with the survey or an alternative format should email Root Policy Research at hello@rootpolicy.com or call 970-880-1415.
