City of Tempe issued the following announcement on July 16.
Beginning with the Aug. 5 Regular Council Meeting, the City Council is planning to return to having a physical presence in the Council Chambers for Council meetings.
Members of the public who would like to attend physically will be asked to maintain distance between other parties and masks will be requested but not required for those who are not fully vaccinated.
Council meetings still will be accessible in real time via WebEx for virtual viewing and public comments – visit tempe.gov/clerk for information. As always, the Council meetings can be watched in real time via Tempe 11 on Cox cable and at tempe.gov/tempe11.
Councilmembers may participate virtually or in-person at any Council meeting.
The Chambers is located at 31 E. Fifth St., and public parking is available throughout downtown Tempe, including in the City Hall parking garage just east of the Chambers and City Hall.
