Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) Yuma County UPDATES as of September 17, 2021

Yuma County issued the following announcement on Sept. 17.

Yuma County Health Officials confirm 55 new cases of COVID-19 and 0 new deaths, bringing the total cases to 40,200 and total deaths to 878. Health officials are conducting contact investigations.

Vaccination is the best way to protect yourself, your family, and your community against COVID-19. Vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death; they also help reduce the spread of the virus in our community.

The Health District is providing COVID-19 vaccine clinics Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm throughout the month of September. Walk-ins are welcome. Only Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available.   

The Moderna vaccine currently can be given to anyone age 18 and over. More information can be found on the CDC's website. 

The Pfizer vaccine currently can be given to anyone age 12 and over. More information can be found on the CDC's website

The Health District is providing COVID-19 Rapid Testing for school personnel and allied health professionals by appointment only. Testing is available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Please call 928-317-4540 to schedule an appointment.
