City of Yuma issued the following announcement on Sept. 16.
Comics, costumes and gaming come together when YumaCon returns to the Yuma Civic Center Oct. 2-3.
YumaCon provides visitors an opportunity to attend panels, play arcade games and show off their costumes in front of cosplay judges. The event has expanded to two days, and will run 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2 and Sunday Oct. 3 at the Yuma Civic Center, 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive.
Attendees are invited to explore the vendor hall for merchandise and visit the virtual reality games.
The popular Cosplay Masquerade will start 6 p.m. Oct. 2.
“We are thrilled to have YumaCon back this season and have doubled the fun by making it a two-day event,” said Arts and Culture Program Manager Lindsay Benacka. “The convention is fun for the entire family and we are working to make it safe and exciting for all attendees.”
Food and beverages will be available for purchase both at the concession stand and from food vendors.
