La Paz County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
Board of Supervisor’s meeting Sheriff Ponce recognized three employees for their outstanding work.
Deputy C.Brinkerhoff was presented with a Life Saving Award for his actions in tracking a stranded motorist in a remote desert area.
Christel Merritt and Tammy Hiatt were recognized for their Dedication to Service. While many employees worked to support the Childrens Christmas Program, Christel and Tammy go above and beyond year after year to make this program successful. They volunteer much of their own time to make this happen for many deserving kids in our community.
