Due to a positive COVID case at the San Luis Senior Center, the San Luis Senior Center will be closed effective immediately until further notice.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, City of San Luis staff were informed that a COVID-19 test came back positive in the San Luis Senior Center. To avoid the spread of the virus and ensure the safety of its members, the Senior Center will be closed until further notice. The Parks & Recreation Department and Senior Center staff are following the necessary COVID-19 protocols and will be informing San Luis Center members of the closure.
“While it saddens us to close the San Luis Senior Center once again, the well-being and health of our most vulnerable continue to be our main priority,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “While the infection rate and positive test rates are going down, I encourage all community members to remain cautious,” he added.
