Alternating lane restrictions on US 95 near Quartzsite scheduled May 16-20
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on US 95 near Quartzsite beginning Monday, May 16, at 6 a.m.
Maintenance crews are scheduled to apply oil-based sealant on the road to preserve pavement.
The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, May 16, and ending Friday, May 20.
• Alternating lane closures will occur on north- and southbound US 95 between La Posa South Long Term Visitor Area (milepost 95.86) and Kuehn Street (milepost 104.51).
• Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.
• The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.
• A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
ADOT reminds motorists to plan for delays, proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
