The City’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular returns to the City’s Ray Kroc Sports Complex, 1280 W. Desert Hills Drive, on Saturday, July 2. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the display starting at approximately 9 p.m.
Entry fee for this family-friendly event is only $1 per person, while children three and under are free. Parking is free as well.
While waiting for the fireworks spectacular, attendees can enjoy live music, a DJ, and Kids Zone activities. Food vendors will also be on hand offering a variety of meal options, drinks, and cool treats.
This year’s celebration is taking place on Saturday, due to a nationwide fireworks shortage and vendor availability. Fireworks, like many other items, have been affected by supply chain issues, which has severely affected inventory. Those vendors who do have fireworks are in high demand with extremely limited availability. Because of this, many cities will not be hosting fireworks displays this year.
The City is excited to be hosting Yuma’s longest fireworks display in more than five years. The show will be approximately 20 minutes in length and feature 750-plus fireworks shells/effects. With all the different events and activities going on throughout the community, Yuma residents will be able to celebrate the Fourth of July all weekend long.
Event-goers are encouraged to bring chairs and blanket into the complex; however, the following items are not permitted:
- Outside food and drink.
- Glass.
- Pets.
- Personal fireworks, sparklers, or other flames.
The City is still welcoming food vendors. To learn more, interested vendors should call 928-373-5202 or visit Food Vendor Application.
