Fimg notice1

On Tuesday, June 7, 2022 with a vote of 6-1 the Town Council voted not to renew the employment agreement with Town Manager Lori Wedemeyer by instructing the Town Attorney to Issue a Notice of Termination to Ms. Wedemeyer. Pursuant to the employment agreement, this Notice is required to be given to Ms. Wedemeyer at least 60 days prior to the expiration of her agreement on September 11, 2022 to avoid an automatic renewal of her employment agreement for an additional year. By issuing this Notice, Ms. Wedemeyer's contract does not automatically renew. She will receive her salary and benefits until the end of her contract term through September 11, 2022. Ms. Wedemeyer has been on paid administrative leave pending ongoing investigations by the Yuma County Sheriff's Office and the Office of the Auditor General since October 2021. The Town continues to fully cooperate with the investigating agencies and does not have any information about the status of the investigation. Amy Putnam, Town Clerk, continues to serve as Interim Town Manager until the Council takes further action.
