If you head to the lake or river to sail-abrate this holiday weekend, don't forget a-boat safety first! Don't drink & drive-yes, even a boat - save your mega pints for when you're at home. Wear your life jackets-anchorage everyone to wear one, even if they know how to swim.
Educate your passengers on boat etiquette
- just like we are now. If a boat is stationary, be considerate: give it a wide berth & reduce speed
- so you don't swamp Stationary boats are usually being used for fishing, swimming, etc. - Watch for swimmers. Remember your boat and your wake are your responsibility
- The waves created by your wake could potentially knock a person overboard a boat oar cause them to be swept underwater it they're swimming, Respect others and the environment at all times

Plan for your trash and whatever you do, don't toss it overboard. Learn to ask for help when necessary.
