Plan ahead for Mayors’ International Bike Ride Saturday Registration starts 7 a.m. at Yuma Civic Center

Registration begins 7 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Civic Center, 1440 W. Desert Hills Drive. The ride is free, but all participants must complete the waiver. Once underway, the ride moves at a leisurely pace with stops every 4 to 5 miles. Each stop offers water, snacks and restroom facilities.

Participants should make sure their bicycles are in working order and prepare proper equipment in advance, such as helmets, sunscreen, comfortable attire, and additional water. Those wishing to join the finishing celebration at Benito Juarez Park in San Luis Rio Colorado should bring proper documentation for crossing the border.

Riders under 18 years old must have a parent or guardian accompanying them, as well as proper documentation.

YCAT will provide public transportation back to the Civic Center at the event’s conclusion. However, those wishing to travel on their own schedule should coordinate their ride home (or back to their vehicle) after the event.
