Council Member Luis E. Cabrera appointed as Vice Mayor

During the Special City Council Meeting of November 30, 2022,  Mayor Nieves Riedel and City Council appointed Luis E. Cabrera to serve as Vice Mayor for the City of San Luis.  During the Council Meeting Mayor Nieves Riedel recommended to have then Council Member Luis E. Cabrera serve as the Vice Mayor. The motion was formally made by Council Member Gloria Torres, second by Council Member Javier Vargas, and was approved by an unanimous vote. Vice Mayor Luis E. Cabrera was elected to the San Luis City Council to serve his first four (4) year term from December 2020 to December 2024. He is a member of the National Association of Elected Officials (NALEO), Young Elected Officials, Municipal Property Corporation Commission, League of Arizona Cities and Towns, and the Former President of Arizona Western College San Luis Rotaract Club. 

"I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving my community in this new role; I will ensure to support our new council with the knowledge I have acquired," stated Vice Mayor Luis E. Cabrera. "This is an exciting time for me, as I know all of us are eager to see all our projects come to life. I feel confident that working together we can accomplish many things. I am thrilled to have the support of Mayor Riedel and City Council," he concluded.
