The City of Somerton is pleased to announce that after a six -month-long competitive interview process, M. Angelica Roldan has been selected as the new Parks & Recreation Director.
“We would like to welcome Angelica back to the City of Somerton, she has many years of experience working for our communities,” said Mayor Gerardo “Jerry” Anaya. “Programs and events that she brought to our city years ago when she was the special events coordinator are still active today. We look forward to seeing Angelica in her new role as the Parks and Recreation Director,” he added.
Growing up in the local community, Somerton holds a special place for M. Angelica Roldan. Miss Roldan most recently served as the Director of Parks and Recreation in San Luis, Arizona.
“I look forward to returning to Somerton to proudly serve as the Parks and Recreation Director, under the guidance of City Manager Louie Galaviz, Mayor Anaya, and City Council,” said Miss Roldan. “It is my commitment to promote the local community in its parks, events and green places, and to display why our community remains the Best Little City in Arizona.”
