DES Now Accepting Applications

The Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES) has partnered with Yuma County to expand access to the Emergency Rental Assistance Program to Yuma County residents. Effective December 3, 2022, DES has opened its program to provide rent and utility assistance to eligible Yuma County renters affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Applicants can apply for rental and utility assistance safely from their own homes using the ERAP online portal at https://des.az.gov/ERAP . Applicants unable to apply online may apply by phone through the ERAP hotline at 1-833-912-0878. A new application can be started either by the tenant or the landlord. DES will provide these services until funds run out.

Yuma County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program stopped receiving new applications on October 27, 2022, due to funding being almost completely distributed. Any applications received by Yuma County prior to the closing of its portal are still being processed until funds run out. Please note that having applied does not guarantee payment and is subject to funding availability.
