ARSON REWARDS: Up to $31,000 for information leading to the arrest of the arsonist(s)

The Yuma Police Department had four arson fires in 2021 that were set on buildings under construction.

2021-19985: Our first case was in the 700 Block of 21st Avenue on April 7th, 2021. This was an apartment complex under construction, and three of the apartments were destroyed.

2021-32857: Our second case was in the 6500 block of 32nd Lane on June 9th, 2021. This involved three residential structures under construction. All three were completely destroyed.

2021-34552: Our third case was in the 200 block of S. 2nd Avenue on June 18th, 2021. This involved a commercial building under construction. This building frame was completely destroyed.

2021-57690: Our fourth fire was in the 3300 block of S. Avenue 8E on October 16th, 2021. This involved a residential structure under construction. This structure was completely destroyed.

The Yuma County Sherriff’s Department had one arson in 2022 involving three buildings under construction.

2022-51192: This case was in the 10200 block of South Orion Avenue on June 12th, 2022. This involved three residential structures under construction. All three were completely destroyed.

The Yuma Southwest Contractors Association is offering a $10,000 reward, Elliott Homes is offering $10,000, the Arizona Advisory Committee on Arson Prevention and the Arizona Chapter of International Assn. of Arson Investigators offers up to $10,000, and 78 CRIME offers up to a $1,000 reward to any information that leads to an arrest of the suspect(s) in these cases.
