How many students were enrolled in Wenden Elementary District schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 80 students enrolled in Wenden Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 9.1% less than the 88 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.5% of them were girls, and 47.5% were boys.

Data also showed that most of the students were Latino, representing 83.8% of the Wenden Elementary District total enrollment.

Wenden Elementary District roughly covers schools within La Paz County and has a main office in Wenden.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.

WalletHub claimed Arizona’s school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors’ credentials.
