There were 1,203 Latino students enrolled in La Paz County schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.9% less than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that La Paz County welcomed 2,385 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, Latino students made up 50.4% of the student body, making them the most represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the 12 schools in La Paz County, Parker High School recorded the highest enrollment of Latino students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 217 Latino students.

WalletHub claimed Arizona's school system ranked among the worst across U.S. for class size, performance, funding, safety, and instructors' credentials.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students' school performance.
