There were 68 American Indian or Alaskan Native students enrolled in Somerton Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 21.4% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Somerton Elementary District welcomed 2,867 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian or Alaskan Native students comprised 2.4% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the district.

Somerton Elementary District roughly covers schools within Yuma County and has a main office in Somerton.

Among the six schools in Somerton Elementary District, Valle Del Encanto Learning Center recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian or Alaskan Native students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 39 students.
