YUMA COUNTY, AZ – As votes start to be cast, Yuma County has outlined its plan to ensure transparent and efficient voting results for the community. The process includes various steps that will unfold in the coming days.

"At 8 p.m., the first set of results will include all tabulated early ballots and in-person votes received prior to Election Day. Results after 8 p.m. will be from our vote center locations," stated Yuma County.

The county also noted, "The estimated number of ballots left to process will be reported with the final release of the Election Day results."

Following Election Day, Yuma County's plan involves steps such as auditing voters and processing late early and provisional ballots. "Voter Services audits voters from Election Day electronic poll books and late early ballot submissions," emphasized the county.

Moreover, the county shared, "Early board begins processing all remaining verified early and late early ballots in preparation for tabulation."

The final tabulation process includes a cure period as required by law. Yuma County stated, "Final tabulation takes place following the early ballots cure period required by law (five calendar days for voters with inconsistencies on early ballot envelope)."

The culmination of the process involves the canvassing of election results during the Yuma County Board of Supervisors meeting. Yuma County highlighted, "Election results are canvassed during the Yuma County Board of Supervisors meeting at 9:00 a.m."

Throughout the process, Yuma County aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral system and ensure the accurate counting of every vote. For further information, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Arlyn Galaviz at (928) 373-1111 or via email at [email protected]
