U.S. Customs and Border Protection Yuma Sector, other law enforcement arrest illegal alien

Agents from the Yuma Sector of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) collaborated with Yuma Police and the Arizona Department of Public Safety to apprehend an individual described as an illegal alien, who had a warrant for failure to appear. This announcement was made in a February 25 post on X.

According to the Yuma Sector Chief's post on X, the individual was wanted on charges related to voyeurism and sexual abuse at the time of their arrest.

The Yuma Sector, established in 1954, spans 181,670 square miles of desert between California and Arizona, including 126 miles along the U.S.-Mexico border. Over time, it has expanded to include three border stations: Blythe, Yuma, and Wellton, as detailed on the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's webpage dedicated to the Yuma Sector.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), operating under the Department of Homeland Security, is responsible for safeguarding national borders and preventing illegal entry. According to its history webpage, since its inception in 1924, CBP has managed operations across 328 ports of entry while protecting 7,000 miles of land borders and 95,000 miles of maritime borders.
