Agents from the Yuma sector of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) have announced the arrest of a U.S. citizen accused of picking up a group of undocumented immigrants and fleeing from agents. This information was shared in a post on X by the Yuma sector Chief Patrol Agent on April 11.

According to the post, the U.S. citizen will face smuggling charges, while the Mexican nationals involved will be charged with Alien Inadmissibility and Re-Entry of Removed Aliens.

The Yuma sector covers 181,670 square miles of desert between California and Arizona, including 126 miles of the U.S. border from the Imperial Sand Dunes to the Yuma-Pima County Line. Over the past two decades, this sector has doubled in size since its establishment in 2004. It includes three border stations: Blythe in California and two others in Arizona—Yuma and Wellton.
