On #CesarChavezDay, I became the fourth Latino in state history to officially qualify for the ballot as a candidate for governor.
Like Cesar Chavez, my father worked in harsh conditions as a seasonal farmworker. Now, his son has the opportunity to lead the highest office in the state. That is the immigrant story, and that’s why this fight is personal to me.
I am so proud of the strides our campaign has already made in building the strong diverse coalition we need to win in November.
