Nine Mexican nationals were arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents from Blythe Station, according to an October 31 post on X.
"#BlytheStation agents arrested nine Mexican nationals while #onpatrol Wednesday. One of the migrants has a warrant for failure to appear on larceny charges out of New Mexico and was turned over to local law enforcement for extradition. The others will be processed for removal," wrote the Yuma Sector's Chief Patrol Agent in an October 31 post on X.
According to CBP's webpage dedicated to it, the Yuma sector spans 181,670 square miles of desert between California and Arizona. It also includes 126 miles of the U.S. border stretching from the Imperial Sand Dunes to the Yuma-Pima County Line. Over the last two decades, this sector has doubled in size since its establishment in 2004. The sector encompasses three border stations: Blythe in California and two others in Arizona - Yuma and Wellton.
